I feel very strongly about animal welfare and best practice, this is one of the main reasons I decided to start my own grooming business, to ensure I could provide the best stress-free environment for every pet. ​

Respect of body and mind

Taking time to understand the physical and mental well being of each individual pet, helps to develop a good close relationship with your pet. 
 

Calm and relaxed

There is no trip to the vet, there's no car journey all my dog grooming is delivered on your own doorstep. Being close to home and not having to travel, means your pet is a lot more calm and relaxed. Grooming sessions are also 1-2-1, not in a busy pet salon where they may encounter lots of other animals and people.
 

Organic products 

Once upon a pet only uses organic products. After an initial assessment, we will recommend the appropriate products for your breed of dog. 
 

Relaxing massage

Much like humans, dogs can suffer aches and pains. Some older dogs also suffer from arthritis and other circulatory problems. We include a relaxing massage for every pet, ensuring they can't wait to come back and have their next dog grooming session!

Reconnect with the animal

Better connection and understanding of your pet, comes from understanding what makes them most comfortable. My aim is to make your pet happy and relax by letting him "telling" me his boundaries. 

 

Welfare and comfort first

Some dog groomers are all about the aesthetics when they deliver their dog grooming sessions - not Once upon a dog. Our primary concern is always with the animal's welfare, this means if they need extra grooming we will do it, but if they require less grooming, we will also do this.
